Heavy-Duty Transfer in Dusty Environment of Fertilizer Finished Product Warehouse — YEAWEY YT Series CPCD25 Internal Combustion Forklift

Client: A large-scale fertilizer factory in Argentina (with an annual output of 500,000 tons of compound fertilizer)

Scenario: The factory's finished product warehouse mainly stores bagged compound fertilizer. Each pallet is stacked with 60 bags of 50kg bagged fertilizer (3 tons per pallet). The fertilizer needs to be transferred from the packaging production line to the storage area (80 meters away), passing through open-air dusty areas (with severe dust from fertilizer particles), and the warehouse floor is prone to dampness during the rainy season.

Challenges:Battery packs of electric forklifts are prone to dust ingress, causing short-circuit faults, with an average of 3 repairs per month, which affects continuous operation.

Bagged fertilizers become slippery on the surface after absorbing moisture, and traditional forks lack anti-slip design, leading to frequent slipping during handling (monthly average cargo loss exceeds 2 tons).

In summer, the warehouse temperature reaches 38℃, and the dense stacking of fertilizers results in poor heat dissipation, causing the hydraulic system of electric forklifts to easily overheat and shut down.

Solutions: Deployed YEAWEY 3-ton diesel forklifts (equipped with Japan Isuzu C240 engines), configured with 3-stage air filters (primary filter + high-efficiency filter element + dust separator) to isolate 98% of fertilizer dust.

Forks are fitted with rubber anti-slip pads and side shifters, combined with a descending buffer hydraulic valve (descending speed ≤0.2m/s) to prevent bagged fertilizers from slipping.

Upgraded with enlarged aluminum radiators and hydraulic oil coolers, adapting to high-temperature environments of 35℃~40℃ and supporting 12 hours of continuous operation.

The cab adopts a fully enclosed dust-proof design, equipped with a dust-filtering ventilation system to protect the operator's health.

Results: Dust-induced faults decreased from 3 times per month to 0.2 times, reducing annual maintenance costs by 520,000 yuan.

The cargo loss rate dropped from 1.2% to 0.15%, reducing annual fertilizer loss by 11 tons.

Hourly handling efficiency increased from 10 pallets to 18 pallets, supporting the factory's new annual capacity of 100,000 tons without bottlenecks in the warehousing and transfer process.
